Vespa Sei Giorni

I've got a 1953 Vespa I am thinking about turning into a "Six Days" replica. These are the production factory endurance racer's piaggio made to compete in the Sei Giorni race in 1951

Said car almost destroyed my young marriage. I promised the wife I was going just to look. When it pulled up on the back of a flat bed tow truck she saw red. I promised her it would be running with in the year. Two years later, it ran briefly, before I pulled the 327 for the Nova. One project at a time I promised!

The never ending Nova

I've owned my 1963 Nova SS Convert since I bought it from an old scooter buddy in 1999 (I believe) for $2000 and a sweet Vespa GTR. I've been driving it and working on it on and off ever since. I took the plunge this year with support from the wife to do the engine swap and suspension/brake/steering upgrade I've wanted to do since I bought the car almost 10 years ago.
